I have a narrow kitchen with a narrow island and it's part of a great room. We're renovating the whole kitchen and we're trying to decide whether to push out the side with sink to make it wider. Then we could make the island wider and maybe extend it to make a table. We do have a table area but it's in front of a French door and we'd like to keep it more open so not sure whether we should have a table & chairs or a table extension from the island or a peninsula. We want to have 4 chairs if it's an extension.
