ditch the curtains and get new ones. the family photos, need a new home and regrouped in a more college fashion. why is there a lamp on the floor, it cant be doing much work there....put it on the console to the right. honestly i would loose the back arched part of the tv console all together. its tooooooo heavy in the space, and tooooo close to the fire place, needs to be centered on the wall. pint the mantel white and take all the little things out of the cubby and off the top. not sure what to put in it, but all the small things look like clutter. I love the bones of your home, and the wall color. i think some things are too big and some things are too small, and some things are just in the wrong space.
