Good morning! The wood choice is African mahogany and we aren't sure what type of stain was used, but it was a Sikken's product. When you order we can always send wood samples for you to test out ahead of time. The door(s) would arrive hand-sanded, ready for finishing and the stain of your choice. We also send care instructions with the order so you know how to complete the finishing, or have your contractor/finisher complete.
