Have you ever considered painting the step risers a dark brown to ground them with the foundation? the same with the lattice.

Hello @Lyn Nielson Yes, we plan to pain the risers once we install the door. We also plan to add v-groove to the ceiling of the porch (brining the wood elements together). I had not considered the lattice and will add that to my consideration list. Thanks for your feedback!
