do you tile before you install the hood

Are the tiles close to the sides of the hood done after the hood is installed?
Does the curved glass part of the hood touch the back wall??
Did you cut the tiles to fit the curved glass or are they just straight cuts?

the tile is always installed first. this way it can be cleaned up before the hood is installed.

Hi....okay so I will have to remove he above hood cabinets and he old hood fan. I will be cutting through the wall to make new larger ductwork. I will then have to install the backsplash and a new chimnney hood like yours. I am asking for a favour: Could anyone who has done all this before please list the correct order of steps that I need to do so that I do not do them in the wrong order. Thanks

But, would you mind providing the name and/or manufacturer of the exhaust fan? Thanks, again!

All the appliances are Thermador including the exhaust fan.
