I may be remodeling and adding new siding to my home, which is ~2ft away from a fence my neighbor installed. My contractor seems to be very concerned about installing the siding. However my architect seems to think it is possible, using ladders and putting up 2 X 12s as a walking surface. It doesn't help that my neighbor is less than cooperative. Any suggestions on a solution? I obviously don't want to compromise the safety of the workers, but I have seen some pictures on the internet that make this look do-able (ladder jacks?). thanks in advance.
