Paint the walls soft, warm mousey-brown/gray. Leave the ceilings and cabinets white. Are there any windows? Maybe find a small, interesting shelving unit for the middle of the counter between the sinks. I would pick something of a solid color or of a natural-looking wood. Something kind of like a spice rack but that would allow the countertop to stay organized. I attached the living room picture for color scheme idea. I would choose a warmer grey than what they have shown. I attached a gray and white shower curtain and matching decorative cups from west elm, but really any gray and white shower curtain would work! I think tying-in those two colors is best because it allows the other colors to pop.

Paint the walls (lighter version of the soft jade vase color is a great contrast to the vibrant persimmon countertop ...... ), re-paint the cabinets and update hardware, perhaps bin pulls for drawers and vertical handles on doors all in a soft brushed nickel ? Updated new faucets on the sinks can be had for under a hundred each at either typ. DIY store. A shallow upper cabinet in the center of the vanity (against the mirror) would divide the length and add handy storage space for smalls. If you're not crazy about the tile, bring the curtain rod out to the wall above and update with a graphic print fabric using valance and side panels. Be sure your fabric includes the persimmon, jade (or other wall color), the 'peachy' tile color and white cabinet and porcelain colors A solid jade rug and persimmon towels would be great with the patterned fabric. Budget step 2 might include moving the location of the heat vent,a different vanity type and separate mirrors to break down the long space. It looks like all the basics are in good shape so have fun with the great persimmon color !

I agree with Michelle Scott. My first instinct was to embrace it.
The bold wall paper with a bold graphic print is a good idea to make it feel that the counter was an intentional design choice .
Depending on your taste you can go with something modern or something more vintage/retro- a black and white graphic print could be another great option for you.
