I agree it is incomplete or not staged ie. the coffee table, mantel...a few books or vase etc go a long way to making it less sterile.

Janet and Steve - You both have great observation regarding dSPACE Studio's photograph from the Astor Street Residence in Chicago. The Living Room photo was taken the day after the client moved in (no staging was possible at that time). Today, there is art and much more by the owner. A house is always best photographed after the Owner has finished their personalization of their home. In case you are interested, please have a look at the finished room as published in Chicago Home and Garden Magazine (pictures added). Also, in the coming days, you will see this dSPACE Project Featured in Traditional Home Magazine 2015 issue - you can be sure that Traditional Home did a full staging of this home.
