Hi, for your new kitchen, if you paint all the cabinets in white and considering your appliances are also white, i would suggest a neutral color for your walls. I would recommend sherwin williams tower tan (SW 7704)

the soft blue could be painted on lower cabinets, or the walls.

Brittany...congrats on house! Why does it matter if kitchen is same or similar in color to other rooms? Our whole house is painted BM Healing Aloe...it's soft blue green neutral and I like how each room flows...making our little bungalow seem bigger. Just a thought:)

I like the idea someone posted about painting bottom cabinets blue...

Other color to look at BM Palladian blue. I like yellow as well, but make it a yellow with some depth to it like a French country yellow.

My husband won't lol. I would love to do a bright turquoise but we have to compromise.... I am not a yellow fan usually but I think something soft will look nice and brighten it up! It's a short sale so we won't be in for a few months :( I wish I could at least clean and paint in the meantime lol

You can't go wrong with yellow, and you can accent it in any color you want.

don't be scared with this color, I think it looks bright because of the rest of the elements are bright in the picture you posted.
