We've purchased a house built in 1985. First off, what "style" would this be considered?

House sits on top of a hill in South Georgia nestled on a wooded 6 acres. Our original purchase of a dream home, 1900 "American Gothic" style, home fell through-- to get a sense of our taste.

We quoted dormers for the two larger skylights but they are too expensive.

We will be replacing to roof with a granite (dark gray) colored metal roof. Toying with covering columns w wood, and adding pergola to left patio. (Ditching satellite of course!)

Need advice on exterior. Paint brick or not? Colors for wood, etc. Treatment for columns? Accentuate windows on right? Any input to help with a wow factor would be appreciated. (Current idea is slate blue-ish trim with oatmeal-ish siding and a bright red door)
