How tall are the ceilings with and without the coffered ceiling?

bsweeney15, the ceilings were 9' to the soffit, and went up 6" for the coffer. You can adjust to visually make sense in your space, depending on room size and ceiling height. We built the ceilings down to be able to frame in for the detail.
