An ivory would be nice to give you a more "white"/bright look (we had BM Ivory Tusk in our last home) and adding accents in a similar colour that have texture (ex. Ivory rug, Berber or shag texture or whatever you like) will help keep it from looking boring...otherwise I think a nice brown/grey would look good (BM Turret?) but it would not add "brightness" if that's what you are after.

I love blue and brown together, a blue rug with some brown and cream, some great throw pillows and paint the walls a pale version of the blue you use with the accessories,

Add a light colored rug and light pillows. Change color to light beige or very light green.
