Do you even need the wall? It looks like there is some renovation going on in the kitchen beyond. While you're at it, tear the wall down. Without seeing the entire space it doesn't matter what you put
on the wall....a collection of tortoise shells or old horse shoes....you still have to deal with the awkward architecture limiting the space, as you say, to only one possible furniture arrangement. Sometimes it's best
to just leave the space alone...maybe a new paint color...think the entire space through...trust me, it's
not about that wall.
That doesn't appear to be a place for more attention.
