I bough a house with a back room that looks almost identical. This is what I am planning for thaT room. I attached a picture of the room as it is now, I have not got to that room yet. Benj Moore Shaker Beige matte finish on walls and ceiling. Add crown moulding in BM White Dove. Floor to ceiling white sheers over the window to allow the natural light in. For the floors dark brown laminate would look beautiful against the light walls. A white or cream shag plush rug with neutral color furniture and lots of throw pillows with pops of color in your choice. Keep color pops the same color or close to the same. Different shades of orange would look pretty. I don't know of you have a lumber liquidators near you but they have great prices on laminate and it is super easy to install yourself.
