I have similar dark spots from my soap dispenser or a plant pot. This is quartzite that’s been installed for 6 months, so definitely not glue. It’s been a week since I removed these items yet the darkened spots remain. Ideas?

Joseph, are you saying that heat might solve this problem? I have a similar issue. I had pop up outlets installed on my new quartzite counter and the guys tried to glue a plastic ring around the base - that was not where it goes according to the instructions. When I saw it I removed it but it was too late. I have dark grey dots around the outlet on my light blue quartzite counter.

Looks like some sort of adhesive bleed to me. Heat's not doing it for this. I'd call them back to poultice, but this could be a major screw-up. Well, their check has probably cleared so not so major to them. At least the bleed matches the top.

I haven’t tried heat. I have only tried “granite cleaners” and baking soda. Are you suggesting I try heat?

Also - it looks like grey dots all around the outlet. Really terrible!
