how to close archway to outdoor area when needed?

how does (or is able to) the archway close to protect inside from bad weather?? I live in area where temps get very hot in summers and very cold in winters. any ideas on how that space could be ached, but able to protect when needed from harsh wheather??

    Bcongress - We have not had any problems with insects or animals. My recommendation to you would be to have pest control spray your home no less then once a month. Also, there is a lot of wild life in Arizona so just be careful when keeping your doors open for a long period of time.. Hope this helps - Vince Fratantoni

      Good question! It looks like this home is in Scottsdale, AZ, but I imagine there is sometimes a weather issue even there.

      There is a automatic sliding door that is open in the picture. Everything outside the automatic sliding door is meant for the outdoors so when dealing with whether issues such as rain, hail, etc. there is not issue. Hope this helps - Vince Fratantoni

      thanks! Is the door recessed into the wall, and slides in from the side? And is it a glass door? Thanks, as I am wanting this same thing on an addition we are adding. It looks great!

      We just bought a home in Scottsdale, relocating from the Northeast. So my questions are basic, maybe naive. This is gorgeous, our new house has a similar archway with mountain views. Is there an issue with insects and animals? Do we need a glass or screened door?

      It's a glaze .. Formula.. Maybe ur faux painter can achieve that look for you
