We have oak crown molding on top of the cabinets and oak base boards. Please also take in to consideration the counter top color. We're strictly looking at paint colors only - no other changes.

Thanks for the advice!! It is more on the purplish side but I think an ivory or light beige will work the best too.

Use paint that matches tiles and oak cabinets they are your main colors along with white microwave. Suggest Sherwin Williams malted milk SW 6056. Stage with some purple bowls or eggplants, Tea towels to tie in counter tops. Take your time painting and plan on primer and 2 coats of paint.

I'd definitely tone it all down with a compatible neutral.

Ivory sounds wonderful. The lighter color will reflect light and help it feel more spacious. Than bring in high quality silk or fresh flowers for the color and interest - it'll look great.

Lol, no we weren't afraid of color, it's going to be difficult to go to a beige our ivory color!! :-)

Get a paint that has a primer!

It's horrible with the orangy oak cabinets!!! You're right to paint before putting it on the market. Choose a color that won't clash with the cabs. Even white would be bright and open. Look at Urban Putty by SW. Very neutral--almost like a natural linen color.

Something in this palette, creams/grays to mellow the purple counter?
