Dining Room Update!

1. Out with the wallpaper and in with the a soft paint color.
2. Out with the large china cabinet and in with an elegant sideboard.
3. Out with the carpet and in with the wood flooring and Persian Rug.
4. Out with the pedestal table (you cannot get your chairs under the table with those things). Local craftsman installed legs on the table top for a new look and better function.
5. Out with the brass fixture and in with a 50 year old chandelier with medallion.
6. Out with old curtains and in with new drapery.

It's not to my taste - a bit old school for me. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Better than it was, but still dated looking.

Some confuse traditional with dated..... It is very traditional looking, but still lovely; it is much more serene.... Perhaps some new chairs in the future would make the room look even better.

lot of elbow grease in that - well done

Traditional but I don't think it looks dated. I think if she wanted to add to what she already has going maybe slipcover the chairs. Beautiful sideboard!

Yes, I agree, it's the chairs that date the whole look. And maybe the art work.
