White wood shutters would be lovely just on the bottom (not the arched part) of all four windows. They're also very expensive.

You could do Roman shades for a whole lot less. Again, just on the bottom--not the arches. Blinds.com

I really like the idea of Roman shades the best as I think they are light and airy. I think the wood shutters would be dark and heavy like someone mentioned. I would only cover the rectangle part of the window and keep the half circle exposed. Here are a few that I like. What color would look best with yellow? I have a medium/dark oak floor.

Hi Lisa! We would recommend doing a scalloped pleat valance as well as soft roman shades. You should mount the valance on the frame separating the body of the windows from the arches and run it across all three windows. This valance style will work wonderfully with soft roman shades. Since you only want to have the shades pulled at night, you will want to carefully consider how the shades will look the majority of the time when they are pulled up. When pulled up, the gentle curve of fabric found at the bottom of the soft roman will blend beautifully with the rounded scallops of the valance. The scallops will bring a touch of softness into your space and relate to the curves of the window arches without looking fussy or weighed down with a lot of fabric. You should mount a matching scalloped pleat valance over your side window as well. Mount it between 6 and 8 inches above the window frame so that the height of that window is more in balance with the others.

Hi Lisa ~ have you considered solar shades? I did my sunroom in Graber solar shades (3%) recently. Very pleased with the product. I opted for a cassette valance and smart pull system. Installing these shades has also helped reduce cooling costs. Good luck!

Top down bottom up shades would work well. The view wouldn't be bad except for the storage building and CLF. Can those be removed? CLF is the #1 installation that lowers property values, so I'd be pulling it out asap.

Linlie designs- that you so much for your input. I do like roman shades but not scalloped valances. I like the pottery barn/transitional look the best and the valence is a bit too french country for me. Do you have any other suggestions based on my style type?

What is a CLF???

Chain Link Fence - a residential no-no designed for commercial/utility applications. I'd avoid it except for a dog kennel installation, which should be kept at a minimum size.

not sure where you are seeing a chain link fence but we do not have one.

You can still do a scalloped valance but instead of having the fabric hang loosely you should have it stretched over a board. This shaped scalloped valance style will play as transitional/casual in your room. Keeping the overall curved look of the valance will help to introduce a sense of architecture in the space and balance out the hard linear elements of your table and chairs.

Absolutely nothing, privacy doesn't look like an issue. Let the windows speak for themselves just as Pallidino.

Here is another idea

Thin bottom up/top down. The windows and view would be a shame to hide with fabric.

I would put cafe style shutters on the windows or you can cover the entire window which I prefer I think it looks more finished and when you open the louvers you have nice light during the day and in the evening complete privacy.
