Porcelain not likely to chip and with the color variation, if for some reason it did chip (you would really have to try to chip it) it would most likely be minimal distraction.....if it was to chip badly it, just make sure you keep some extra on hand from the same lot number and it can be easily replaced. For similar styles of tile, IMO minimal differences between manufactures in terms of quality.

I've used Fap wood look tiles which are amazing (they even feel like wood) and are extremely hardy (i think most brands are). Usually ceramic tiles are more likely to chip.

Try go for a rectified tile, that way you can limit your grout line to 1.5mm and match the colour to the tile, making it look even more like real wood.

Wood floor tiles are actually digital prints on the porcelain. The greater the area of print, the more realistic looking your tile as it cannot repeat too often. Usually the quality of print means the price goes up so for a more authentic set of tiles, prepare to go up the cost ladder at least a bit Not experienced any chipping with any of the tiles I have worked with.
