Can't understand the shelf below the wood box?

In the picture the rectangular box that contains two drawers sits on something. What ever it sits on is exposed behind the drawers. What is the material that the drawers sit on? Also, how thick is the tempered glass top/sides?

    Thank you for your question!

I had previously posted a response, but it doesn't appear here. Apologies if you did not get my initial response.

The lower shelf is tempered glass, the same as the table's bent glass exterior (top and sides). The shelf and drawer unit are connected to the table by small stainless attachments. I have attached several pictures for your reference.

The thickness of the tempered glass is approximately 3/8" thick.

The Shaman Coffee Table is part of our brand new collection for 2015. It is currently in production and will be available to ship by October 30.

Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can be of additional assistance!

Not mentioned. This table is heavy. The glass is thick, solid and tempered. The wood is solid walnut. I LOVE mine.

    Hi Sarah,

So...is it walnut or MDF? That would make a big difference to me.
