Please tell me what the shade structure is made of, and it seems to function with option to use it or not....is that so? And if yes, how does it work? Or where can it be purchased?

Hi! This is an exterior grade canvas shade supported by steel cables & round steel columns. It can be retracted when it is not in use or removed for cleaning. It was custom designed by our office for the Lakeside House. Thanks for your interest.
