It depends on the style of your home and the style of the medallions. It also depends on the size of the rooms and the size of the medallions. Generally speaking, I probably wouldn't repeat too many unless they were distanced from each other.

It all depends on your home...Pamela is right! I am currently doing a kitchen remodel for a client and their kitchen island is fairly large...large enough for two 27" diameter chandeliers and we are placing medallions above each of them and staining them out to match the cabinetry. They are beautiful! If your rooms are on the smaller side...sometimes it is best to address the entire ceiling rather than to bring your attention to one small area ...and I would also pick and choose where I install them as in each of your rooms you want to have a pleasing sense of surprise and not see the same thing in every room!

Yes, they are beautiful in the right areas! They are so inexpensive now, I would say buy them, try them. If you think not, donate them to your local habitat for humanity.
