Just found out that the engineered wood floors that are in the house we recently bought are discontinued. We are going to replace the carpet in the master and family room with wood. Do we try to match the floors (the replacement suggested by Mohawk is not as shiny) or go with a consistant color but maybe a distressed wood (make it obvious that we were not trying to "match" the floors). The family room is not adjacent to the existing wood floor but the master is. Any input would be appreciated!
