Are the pieces of art heavy? You could try the 3M double sided tape hangers if the weight is light. Otherwise, I would recommend you use Tapcons. They are typically sold with a pilot drill bit, and then are a screw that screws into the pilot bit. You can judge the size, but the smallest size will most likely handle nearly any weight that you would hang from them.

I'd go another route. I would drill a small hole 1/4" and install a lead wall plug. Then install a screw of your choice.

If you are worried about kids nocking the art off the wall then using a couple washers 1" in size (fender style with a nut in between) is a good idea. I think designers call this a

Gallery Style install.

Drilling into a new concrete wall is easy. A wall a few years old is much harder. You might find you need an impact drill like a demo hammer style. Keep the drill bits cold so they do not over heat.

I use a little bucket of water to cool the bit.

It's easier if you first drill a pilot hole with a 1/8" bit and then the final hole with a 1/4" bit.

In my condominium, all of the "ease to west" walls are poured concrete and they are HARD! I have had to hire a guy to use a hammer-drill to start the holes, they add the lead anchor and finally the screw. I have lots of art and like to hand it European style up to the ceiling. It is difficult to do and I do NOT rotate the pieces like I would like to. In the end, it is well worth the trouble to have your art so that you can enjoy it.
