My friend tells me to put the dining room right off the kitchen, and eat in kitchen area. I want it more separate. She says that would ruin the flow. I don't think so. So what do you think? I have a semi open floor plan when you walk in you see the stairs, then the formal spaces and you can see all the way through to the back window in the family room.
