I'm building a house and the siding color will be Royal's Midnight surf, looks very close to James Hardie Evening blue, with white trim. The steps will be a stained wood color on the platforms, and its a corner lot with a stained wood fence, tree lined. I'm debating between a weathered wood shingle brown roof, a shakewood (more vibrant cedar like) shingle roof, or a slate grey? I want the wood work to look nice, but see a lot of advise against brown roofs and blue houses. Thoughts?
