The post set are 12'x12' with steel beams buried inside the stucco covering. Were able to hid all of our utilities from electrical, gas and LV wiring in the columns. We used engineered lumber for the beams that spanned from column to column that carried the roof trusses and tile roof. Thanks for asking.

How were your posts set? With piers or anchors in the concrete?

There is actually a steel beam inside of the columns… then framed around the steel post. The post is bolted to a jig that is set into the concrete pier that was used to support the steel post. There is a grade beam that connects the 4 piers together.
