Tight space in need of shower conversion

This pix is ALMOST like our BR but we have TWO doors!! And 80yr old father-in-law needs tub switched to shower!! SUPER tight budget!! Any ideas?? Would Habitat for Humanity be cheaper than say Menards??? HELP!! Too risky fir him to sit(even on chair!cant lift legs good!!) live 25mi N of Chicago!!

    There was a tub here that was removed for the shower. As for the materials, they are generally inexpensive, it is the labor that is most of the cost. Feel free to email me some pictures of the actual bath and I would love to help out where I can. I am in North Texas so it is a bit out of my area, but I can always give advice.
