Kitchen counters?

11 years ago
I'm planning a white kitchen. Cement flooring, white subway tile, no upper cabinets, open shelving.
So, counters and kitchen island? Same countertop on each? Or different for counter vs island? I'm thinking marble. But what about stainless steel? It will be a large flat top island with no sink in it.
