There is a product on the market that is basically a "grout paint". You can use it to simply freshen up your existing grout colour, or lighten or darken it. http://www.homedepot.ca/product/11-snow-white-grout-renew/921788

You can dye it! I used this stuff successfully. I bought their grout dye and the sealer. I reseal it about every 8 mos because I used it in my shower. Scrubbing & such will wear the sealer down eventually.

I would say lighter grout, not darker grout.

With the cabinets and granite.

I wouldn't change it either. It looks good.

Now we see it with the cabinets - Looks v. nice. I don't think darkening it would enhance it.

All grout colors can be changed with a product called grout stain
It gets painted on and also acts as a sealant for your grout

How long has it been complete? Sometimes you just need to live with something for a week or so, before the change becomes comfortable. The images of the backsplash with your counters and cabinets is lovely - if your grout hasn't been sealed, that may darken it too - what happens if you dampen the grout?
