What color is the ceiling?

The ceiling is the same color. I never do ceilings in a different color. The interesting variations in the perceived colors of walls and ceiling in the same room are created by light hitting them at different angles.

When you do the same color for the ceiling as the wall, do you dilute the color or change the finish from eggshell to flat? Thanks!

No; we don't change anything - same paint color, same finish.

Do you suggest this color scheme with the same color on the ceiling if the ceilings are only eight feet high, or would that make the room appear and feel too cramped?

I think it might be too much in a room with 8' ceilings. We used this color as a solution for the fact that the bedroom was too big to be cozy. For your room dimensions, go with a medium color paint, between something this dark and something in the usual off-white family. But be careful that the color you choose doesn't turn "fleshy" in color, which it can tend to do in a medium dark color.

Great advice, thanks! Choosing the right paint color makes a difference in the room. I know what you mean about the color appearing "fleshy", as it happened to me when I used SW Kilim Beige, so, I try to use color with more depth. I'm considering BM Grant Beige. What would you say your no fail medium brown choice would be? Thanks
