Just bought a 15 year old house with mostly original kitchen. The stove , microwave, sink and backwash are all 1 yr old. We need a new DW and fridge. Id love to gut the entire thing but cant afford to. I don't like the one narrow top cabinet to the left of the sink. Seems like a waste of space. Any Ideas for improving that space? I thought of putting in a free standing pantry but the top and bottom cabinets don't line up. The countertops appear to be corian (?) and are badly cut up. Im considering replacing the island with updated cabinets and different top than Corian but wonder if that will just make the outdated cabinets and counters stand out more than they do. Any thoughts ?
