I designed these units and they were custom-built by the contractor, and are 24" x 36". They could be recessed; however in this installation I wanted the lighting to be concealed, so that the entire area would glow with the light. Also, for what it's worth: recessing the mirrors puts them even farther away from the user when they need to be close to the task at hand. Thanks for asking--I hope this helps!

I am designing the lighting and mirror with a need for it to function in part as eye level cabinet access. Do you recall if these were customed ordered by a fixture maker such as Robern or if a cabinet maker could do these? Thank much.

Hi sdnewstreet, please see the response above--although I love Robern products, yes, these were custom-built by our subcontractor. He built them according to design drawings I did for him and brought them to the site and installed them. Mirror above and operable doors with storage in the lower portion.

Hey thank you very kindly--I hope this works well for your project! Another note: originally I had exposed fluorescent lighting along the sides, but the client requested they be covered--we used frosted glass that is hinged for access, which was a great suggestion by her, I think.
