Why is the curtain between the closet and dresser? I would take that down, center the dresser, mount the tv to the wall (cheap sets sold on amazon to mount) and just design the rest with your style. It's a smaller space, so keep it simple and use an odd number of items to create visual interest!! Also make sure those window curtains are hung as high as possible, it makes the room look bigger!!!

Thanks Andrea; The curtain is between the closet and dresser because there is another, shorter, closet door there which looks akward. The curtains are at their highest, just drooping because I have to sew them yet. Maybe I'll move the dresser... and put a chair and lamp in the corner...

The curtains are the most attention-getting things in the photo. Not much you can do to the top of the dresser that will upstage the curtains. Your idea of moving the dresser might work out well for you. The second curtain panel that covers the shorter closet door would look better if it were part of a pair. Perhaps removing it is simpler.

Thanks apple_pie... I actually took your advice. I took down the curtain panel and moved the dresser and it looks better already. My next plan is during christmas break to turn the bifold closet into a built-in to house the TV and serve as a dresser. Then just hang art on the wall where the dresser was and the short closet door will be just that. I'm hoping to finish my project this winter and will repost when finished!!! Thanks for your input, it helped lead me in the right direction!
