At less than 5' I have wished they would make a unit with the dryer controls on the bottom.

    This photo is ridiculous!

This design makes perfect sense for my laundry room size, window and all. Right now my units are beside each other. Would love to do this if I can figure out how to grow a couple inches. Love the red.

A step stool is perfect for the short in stature. There are also stackable units where the dryer has controls near chest level -- they aren't that festive red color, however.

If you stack the washer on top, you can use the laundry pod which goes in with the clothing.

I was told that you cannot stack the washer on top, because when it fills with water, it is too heavy. The dryer always goes on top.

Anyone over 5'2" or 5'3" would have no trouble reaching these.

I have the same units, bought a stacking kit, and put the dryer on top of the washer. I am 5'6" and find it difficult to reach into the dryer, and the controls are really too high. I am going to take them apart and use them side by side.
