General decorating question

I have a multi-striped rug in the entryway to the front of my house. Do I have to stick with a striped theme for a rug that would be around the corner, and down a short hall at the entrance to the garage? I wanted to pull a few colors from the stripes from the entryway rug, and have a hall runner in a circle or square theme.

No, I think pulling a color from that rug will work just fine if it's around the corner.
