    I think those are just regular skirt hangers that are being used for boots?

    Wouldn't hanging them damage the boots or leave the hanger marks imprinted on the leather/material?

    Yes, the clips would leave a permanent imprint on the boots. Solve this by finding skirt / pant hangers that have felt on the clips or glue on felt pieces to the clips.
