I can see a light cream through out, maybe Veil Cream (pictured below) by Benjamin Moore. It's light and airy and looks like it would work well with your white trim. The dining room, below the chair railing and the breakfast half wall consider a medium grey with some green in it. Sparrow by BM, below, looks like it would work well.

In the kitchen, Sparrow or another grey would work well with the maple cabinets and floors.

Also does Gossamer Blue BM work for both of these spaces or would it be too dark? I qould paint the book cases white. Also looking for a good white trim color. Thanks!

Gossamer Blue is pretty. It's a cool color and that combined with the limited lighting from the porch might seem dark. The best way is to get a sample and paint a large swatch on the wall.

Have you considered light grey for the the walls? It usually works well with woods.

For trim look at White Dove, Simply White and Decorator's White all by Benjamin Moore. Each will play differently with the wall color you choose.

I like the idea of blue in the rooms. Gossamer Blue on the card goes to teal. How about a truer blue, like Sapphire Ice 808, which the write-up says has been greyed so it is not over powering? How about painting the back of the book cases a orange like Autumn Cover 2170-30?

I also like the idea of greys in the rooms.
