White? But we don't have anything white in the room. Even the furniture is neutral color.

I say paint them a buttery colour instead of white ,your floor has some of that in it

I think painting the cream color above would be lovely. You don't need to replace the doors, just add some new pulls/knobs.

would like a better pic of counter, but think cream is much better than white for cabinets.

What about a color for the otherwise warm neutrals in both rooms a splash of color on the cabinets in the kitchen would be very elegant with brushed knobs reflecting the appliances

The walls, back splash and tiles are neutral colors. Are you recommending painting the cabinets with neutral color?

I like the cabinets and think that with new hardware they'll look great. Contain the counter clutter and get some not delicate accessories. Go bold and you can save yourself the aggravation of painting.

I would paint them a white color. You might want to have it done professionally.

This summer had a great painter who took my busy orangish oak to a wonderful color, sort of a light beige/green/gray (Wicker, Eddie Bauer series). Lighter will be great, but not a stark white.

I would consider an espresso paint, but not glossy. Pick up the tone from the counter...but please get rid of the white blinds....they are throwing off your neutrals.

You can paint them in 1 of a hundred different painting techniques from a white wash to an antique. You have a wonderful neutral base to play off of.

It comes to what your vision is for the kitchen. What style speaks to you. What would blend with your other furnishings.

For hardware, brushed chrome is the only thing you are locked into..no choices there due to the appliances. Trim work can work wonders on getting you to your vision. Adding or changing out a few upper cabinets can get you a completely different look.
