Hi, I'm moving into my new condo soon, and during a recent visit noticed that the concrete floors have some significant discolouration. The construction manager said that he had cleaned it (we also tried) and it didn't come off.
The concrete floor is meant to stay as exposed concrete, and it has been polished. I know it is normal for concrete to not have a uniform colour, but the black swirl at the entrance and the other areas where it looks as if something has spilled are quite noticeable and unattractive.
I'm worried that the condo developer will overlook this problem and say that it's part of the risk. Is it really? or was this due to carelessness?
I want to bring it up and suggest that they do something about it. We thought of suggesting an epoxy paint of a similar shade to concrete.
What do you think? Has anyone had this kind of discolouration, if so, how have you dealt with it?
