Do you worry about the door being painted with lead paint?

I have an old door similar to this one and want to hang it in my entry way similar to what you have done. I am just worried it may be painted with lead paint. How can I remove the lead paint and still keep the charm I love?

    One option is to apply a clear coat of sealer to the door. This way no more chipping occurs and it seals & protects from any possible lead paint.
