Hello, I'm indecisive and I need help.

I'm mid project and I don't know where else to look for help. I attached pictures of a soffit shelve looking thing I'm creating. I'm not sure if I should put a 1/4 round along the bottom against the wall. my vision was for this to look like its growing out of the wall but the irregularity of the walls made that impossible for the sides and I had to use a 1/4 round to cover some gaps. There are gaps between the wood and the back wall also but they're not as bad and they can't really be seen unless you're directly under it.

At the moment I'm sanding it so I can stain it and I have another project that needs to be sanded. I was going to stain all 4 projects at once. but if I do the 1/4 round I'd have to wait I until tomorrow to stain this project. I probably have another 1.5 - 2 hours before I'm ready to stain this built-in so I'm hoping to get some feedback by then.
