If you could relocate the two trees away from the foundation and out into the lawn it will be a lot better.

The Japanese maple would do well as part of a stand of trees in a wide bed along the half wall by your patio.

I move my Japanese maple about 10 years ago and it was well worth the money. I thought I had planted far enough away from the house, but it need to move another five feet. It is a real specimen plant now.
