where did you find curtain rods this long?

I too am wondering about the curtain rods. Can you tell me the material that was used for both the rods and how they were attached to the beams. If they are custom, who made them? If they are off the shelf, who is the manufacturer?

I'm going crazy trying to do curtains outside on my patio as well but cannot find strong enough rods in a long enough length anywhere. Guess I'm just going to have to fudge it.

This project is driving me crazy too. I think I'm going to have to be super resourceful. I wish I could find some cast iron columns somewhere that I could use to divide my patio opening into 3 sections. Then I would just make 3 sets of drapes and use the cast iron columns to anchor them during our (frequent) wind storms and when I want them out of the way. I am going to make the curtains myself out of shade cloth. Now if I could just find something to make those columns with! Grrr. I wanted this done before summer.

I had to buy several extendable rods and put them together to make one long rod. The rods are sold at most patio stores but I found mine at Bed Bath & Beyond. The outdoor curtains are also sold at places like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. However, if you need them to be longer than 120 inches, you'll need to have them custom made. You can find the Sunbrellla fabric at any fabric store.

how the rods where hanging?

I am wondering about the rods myself - thinking about using rebar (this way I can have the length I want. But it does rust so will have to figure that one out.

Sand the rust from rebar first then apply several costs of flat spray Rustoleum. Still no Rudy on mine after 8 years.

We used Restoration Hardware and the curtain rods were customer made locally here In Sarasota Florida.
