There is so much light in the kitchen...21 cans in the ceiling, under cabinet lighting for the counter tops and along the floor and a hood light also, which is not on in the picture.

I had assumed the floor was wood until I saw your comment about porcelain. Lovely! Would you mind posting a photo of the right wall? Would love to see how you dealt with that.

The previous ceiling was flat and we tore it down, raised the rafters above and added the molding for the dramatic and stunning look. All my builders creation...Woodwork Specialties out of Bristol, Ct.

I have to giggle at myself...when I saw the headline and looked at the picture, my first thought was, she should have gotten rid of those old barstools. Ummm, I'm not keen on this kitchen at all.

THEN, I read your description and saw there was another picture and THAT was the NEW kitchen. I must say, I was so thrilled that I'd misunderstood! HA!!! THIS kitchen is awesome to behold! Love the stools. Love the placement of the cooktop, etc. It's a beauty. I am big on having stunning lights. People should hold a high priority on having fixtures that are different and really display their personality. The internet is full of millions of unusual fixtures. So, I'm glad to see you gave your kitchen a punch of uniqueness.

if you can't paint consider wall paper something looking like wood or linen effect and stain resistant. to keep on forever use vinyl to vinyl paste easy to do if you get a bubble just stick with small pin and roll over. many papers do not stain, measurements length x with divide by 20 to get rolls needed
