I don't know what this is - just another houzz user but I am doing a similar tile in a herringbone pattern and am using Gazzini's Urban Style in Grigio

This is not drywall. I have done the same application with milestone over cement board. Cathy Connor does a great job with specialty finishes in Seattle.

Sbherbst can you get the urban style in the US? Do you have a finish pic?

Yes, they distribute to the US. I am in MA and got from a local tile store but saw the same one in others as well. Here is a link...http://www.ceramicagazzini.it/wp-content/uploads/URBAN_STYLE_Catalogo.pdf. Also, here is a picture. Window hasn't been painted yet - but almost everything else is done. Happy to help. I've found Houzz invaluable.

Sbherbst I love your bath remodel! Do you have pics of what you put on your shower walls and vanity backsplash? I am starting a master bath remodel in a couple of weeks and this is exactly what I was looking for.

The wall was plastered by Decor Bristol and they put a waterproof layer on at the end.

this herringbone pattern is off centered leaving those small triangles on the left. I had a large mudroom floor tiled with slate. I had drafted a detailed pattern layout for the tile guys. all they had to do was follow it. they sort of laughed, rejected my drawing, and assured me that this was their profession and that they knew how to lay out a herringbone pattern. turns out, they made the exact same mistake that was made in this photo. they weren't too happy as they ripping it all out and re-setting it.
