I was wondering about red. Just wasn't sure if it would be too dark with the dark gray/green brick. Thank you.

A bright door is a great way for a fresh look. Here are two examples of homes we designed with a bright front door and an interior colored door. I think either one of these colors will look good with your new painted brick. Good luck!

Bright red would look nice, but yellow or orange would look great and really make the door stand out.

I might as well ask - do you use any color in landscaping? something violet there, but what is it?

I would paint it black. If you do decide to paint it black or any other color I would not paint the oval trim on the door white, just paint the entire door the color that you choose. I think black with the some black urns, new light fixture would make your home very elegant looking.

Pull out all your dead plants and add a few large rocks, green shrubs and beautiful bright pink & yellow flowers. I like your door color the way it is already, but for something brighter, I would try yellow with a couple of white urns around it or flanking the end of the sidewalk entry.

My plants look like that now and they are not dead, they are just done for the season. A more valid point would be to add some plants that stay green year round on each side of the front door.

With your new grey and your black roof, there is a version of any color you like that would look good. Only you can decide what color you want to live with, but if you say red, people can suggest reds. Do you have a favorite color?

Sherwin Williams has a nice, deep red called Sundried Tomato that we used for our front door. What a difference it made! We painted it about a year ago, so I think they still carry it. (I may even have found the color here on Houzz.)

We have a lot left to do. We did the new landscaping last year and the plants are mainly evergreens. They are new and have yet to really take off growing. We have some burgundy bayberry bushes that add a little color. We got the house painted, now on to the details. The rose garden adds a lot of color at certain times of the year but we need more in terms of all year color. I had two Japanese Maples that never made it through the 1st summer in Texas. One was a dark plum color and the other a light green . So we are trying to add color in the landscaping but with the Texas heat and some summers of rationed water we have to select carefully. Thank you for all the comments. I have yet to paint the door - still trying to get the right color - my favorite color is red. May start there and repaint it if I don't like it.!! Thank you I will post pictures later.

Replace the front door if you can and avoid the window outlined in white. You might be able to paint the white outline around your window if you don't want to get a new door.
