Our Florida kitchen was painted at an autobody shop using IMRON. Flawless finish you can beat with a hammer. This is a two part paint and easy to keep clean and shiny.

I would research the thermofoil high-gloss finishes unless you want an odd-ball color. This seems like a high-maintenance idea.

I used a thermofoil finish to achieve the white high gloss look. In my research it was recommended for people with kids as more durable than lacquer in terms of chipping and possible discoloration (but I do see in the first comment the finish could be beat with a hammer) and not likely to scratch like an acrylic finish. There are certainly pros and cons (mainly it can be damaged by heat so a warranty would likely require you to install heat shields around appliances) to it but it is something to consider.

I would recommend Fine paints of Europe brilliant oil base paint the gloss can't be beat. I wouldn't not have a auto body paint put on wood cabinets that paint is intended for metal or fiberglass . wood expands and contracts so the auto body paint will not stand up to that eventually cracking
