The garage door is a custom door made by Carriage House Door Company. The finish is MinWax "English Chestnut".

I would suggest the new Log Stain from Sherwin-Williams matched to "English Chestnut." Two coats will give you a satin finish and it is meant for exterior use. MinWax stains are for interiors and need to be coated with Helmsman Spar Urethane when used outside. This is not a big issue for a front door, but can be a maintenance issue for large or hard to reach areas. Depending on sun, wind and temperatures, you may need to lightly sand and re-clear coat every 12 - 24 months. The Log Stain will last for years with no clear coat needed.
